Some of you out there believe that the only way to DJ officially is with vinyl. I think that there is a versatility with good record decks that is partially lacking in digital controller based systems. In recent years however there is a combination of hardware and software that will allow you to use analogue DJ decks to control the flow of your digital tracks.

Virtual vinyl provides you with an interface that your regular decks can plug into, the accompanying software Virtual DJ  along with specially time encoded vinyl records allow the same versatility that traditional turntablisim offers. Your digital music can be scratched, backspun, cued and reversed exactly as if you were playing an original track from an analogue vinyl record.
