Cubase has been a part of my life since 1991 when I owned an Atari ST 520FM computer. Ataris featured built in midi ports for linkage with musical gear. At this time I linked the Atari with a Korg M1 synth workstation.

Although I have experimented with numerous other sequencing platforms, I have always returned to Cubase and for now I'm very happy to stick with it.

In its current version (5.5), Cubase harbours an impressive array of tools, plug-ins and automated features that help the composer to trim down repetitive tasks enormously. It's a very diverse application and yet it always reveals something new time after time.
